Kuchai Development Berhad is an investment holding company. The Company is engaged in the rental of property. It operates through three segments: Investment, Interest income and Rental income. Its Investments segment is engaged in long-term portfolio investment in securities and investment properties pending to lease out. Its Interest income segment includes placement of excess funds in fixed and short-term deposits in licensed banks. Its Rental income segment is engaged in leasing of properties. Its investment property portfolio includes a two-story pre-war shop house with a land area of approximately 154 square meters at Emerald Hill Road, Singapore. The other investment property is a plot of freehold land of an area of approximately eight acres. The area, the Semenyih Division, is located in Mukim of Hulu Semenyih. Its investment holdings consist of holdings in domestic and foreign listed equity securities, shares of unquoted investment funds and physical commodities.
