Perusahaan Sadur Timah Malaysia (PERSTIMA) Berhad is engaged in manufacturing and sale of tinplates for both domestic and export markets. The Company operates through two segments: Malaysia and Vietnam. The Company’s tinplates are used as packaging material for processed foods, such as liquid milk, fruits, vegetables, fish and meat; dry foods, such as milk powders, tonic food and biscuits, and aerosols, such as insecticides, sprays and perfumes. The Company’s tinplates are also used as packaging material for edible oils, which include palm oil, vegetable oil, ghee and margarine; beer and beverages, which include carbonated, non-carbonated and still drinks, and industrial products, which include motor oil, lubricants, chemicals and paints. The Company’s subsidiaries include Perstima (Vietnam) Co., Ltd., and Perstima Utility Sdn. Bhd. Its subsidiaries are engaged in the manufacturing and sale of tin free steel, and generating, transmitting and sales of power and other utilities.

It has been equipped with a Halogen type Continuous Electrolytic Line. Coil products, cut sheet, scroll cut and tin free steel are the form of the products being offered by the company. The group operates in Malaysia, Vietnam and other countries of which majority of its revenue from manufacturing and supplying activity is derived from Malaysia.
