SMIS Corporation Berhad is an investment holding company. The Company, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in providing spare parts and support services for industrial machinery, as well as automotive brake and clutch components, and carpeting products to car assemblers in Malaysia. It operates through four segments: automotive parts, which is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of carpet of various descriptions, and manufacturing of automotive braking components and motorcycle components; machinery parts, which is engaged in the trading of machinery and industrial parts supplies; plastic resins trading and compounding, which is engaged in the trading and compounding of recyclable plastic resins products, and others segment, which is engaged in the investment holding. The Company’s subsidiaries include Grand Carpet Industries Sdn. Bhd., Sanyco Grand Industries Sdn. Bhd., Machinery & Industrial Supplies Sdn. Bhd. and Sugihara Grand Industries Sdn. Bhd.

The company operates in four business segments namely; Automotive carpets segment comprises of manufacturing and trading of carpet of automobiles and other related services which also contributes a major part of revenue; Braking component segment comprises of braking accessories and components; Industrial spares comprises of varied range of industry-specific spare parts, and Plastics segment comprises of plastic components and polymer products. Most of its revenue comes from the Malaysian market.
